Subduction and advective pathways of particulate organic carbon
Project Summary:
This project investigates how small, non-sinking particles of particulate organic carbon (POC) are transported from the surface ocean into deeper waters. The team will evaluate processes and transport pathways of POC by quantifying flux in relation to physical and biological factors. By leveraging observations and modeling efforts from OVSN, the project aims to improve understanding of carbon cycling.
